Training: Promoting sustainable youth participation from local to European level

The main theme was "Active Youth Participation"The main theme was "Active Youth Participation" Within this theme we tackled 3 main aspects of it 1/ What is active youth participation 2/ How can we promote active youth participation 3/ How can a International/European dimension contribute to active youth participation on a local level and what can be a role of ENOA ?

Aims of the project: - for ENOA : To have an on-going evaluation on the coherence between values, methods and tools used To define quality criteria in "Empowering young people" in Europe To develop the skills and competences network in ENOA To promote a permanent opening in ENOA in term of initiatives and methods To design quality non formal education programs in youth work

- for the youth workers and youth organisations To put in questions our methodologies and confront them to other methods and realities in Europe To understand the relevance of European dimension in our local youth work (Mobility, program…) To evaluate, improve, enrich our tools of intervention in term of active youth participation To contribute and be part of the network of tools, competences and human resources To be trained on concrete methods of youth work (social diagnosis, following youth initiatives…

Results: - During discussions, reflections and exercises the participants analysed there local realities and had the chance to compare with the others and to use this know how to think again about their realities in order to improve the quality of their work. - In different moments the participants where challenged to requestion some basic values and approaches they use in there daily work with youngsters, which lead to very interesting reflections within the group. These moments where very important for the learning and awareness process of the participants in order to not take things for granted and to rethink some ways of working. - The construction of a common understanding on some key words like active youth participation / Europe. - Discovering other persons with other realities and the Network ENOA.

- The common construction of a process for a idealistic Activation process with young people, in a concrete and useful way. - The participants worked in groups on concrete tools and methods they can use in order to put in practice this active youth participation process. - They had the time to work between them on actual projects as well as on possible future collaborations between different members of the network. - Understand better the European context and programs
